Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 13, 2026. This policy explains what data GC Scope (gcscope.com) collects, how it is used, and your choices.

What we collect

Account information. The email address you register with, and your password, which is stored as a one-way hash. We cannot read your password.

Content you create. The scopes you save to your account.

Account status. Your plan (free or Pro) and subscription state.

Payments

Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. When you upgrade to Pro, you complete checkout on Stripe's infrastructure, and Stripe charges your card under its own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy. We never receive or store your card number.

How we use data

We use your email to sign you in, to reach you about your account, and to manage Pro billing. We use your saved scopes to provide the service you asked for — nothing else.

Cookies

GC Scope sets one essential session cookie so you stay signed in. It is not used for advertising or for tracking across other sites. Stripe sets its own cookies during checkout.

Analytics and advertising

GC Scope runs no third-party analytics and no advertising. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.

Retention and deletion

We keep your account data while your account is active. If you cancel Pro, your saved scopes remain until you delete them or your account. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing [email protected].

Security

The site is served over HTTPS through Cloudflare. Passwords are hashed with PBKDF2, and access to stored data is limited to the systems that run the service. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. Email [email protected] and we will honor your request. We never discriminate against users who exercise privacy rights.

Children

GC Scope is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

Updates to this policy will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
