Terms of Service

Effective date: September 13, 2026. These terms govern your use of GC Scope (gcscope.com), a scope-of-work toolkit for government construction, operated by GCExperts LLC, 300 Brushy Creek Rd, Ste 404, Cedar Park, TX 78613, United States.

1. The service

GC Scope provides construction scope-of-work templates, a pre-bid checklist, and specification clause language organized by project type. The templates and clauses are drafting aids for construction professionals.

2. Your account

You need an account to use GC Scope. You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You agree to provide a valid email address, keep your password secure, and accept responsibility for everything that happens under your account.

3. Free and Pro plans

The free plan includes the Road & Bridge and Water & Wastewater template libraries, the pre-bid checklist, and the General Scope and Submittals clauses, at no charge. The Pro plan is a monthly subscription that unlocks all five template libraries, all six specification clauses, and saving and downloading your scopes.

4. Payments and billing

Pro payments are processed by Stripe. Your Pro subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep Pro access until then. We do not refund partial billing periods. If a payment fails, Pro features may be suspended until billing is restored.

5. Not legal or engineering advice

GC Scope templates, checklists, and clauses are general starting points, not advice for your specific project. Contract language requirements vary by agency and jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for reviewing and adapting every scope you produce, for complying with the solicitation you are bidding, and for your contract outcomes. Consult a qualified attorney or engineer for project-specific advice.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use GC Scope unlawfully, to attempt to breach the service's security or disrupt its operation, to resell our templates and clause language as your own product, or to scrape the site at abusive volume.

7. Your content

Scopes you save belong to you. You grant GC Scope a license to store and display them so the service can work. We do not review or publish your saved scopes.

8. Intellectual property

The templates, checklist, clause language, and site design are the property of GCExperts LLC and may not be copied or redistributed except through your own use of the service.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GCExperts LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost bids, or project delays, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using GC Scope and request account deletion at any time by emailing [email protected]. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

12. Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after a change means you accept it.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
